EDIT EDIT: Not to be a whiner, but where are the rest of the art? 13,000 is a great start but that's still a far cry from all of it.

Current batch of artist tags now largely in shape. TYAGN!

@Nyre Slayerducks is currently syncing all of the remaining images and then will upload them at once instead of a continuous stream / small chunks as it was. The rest of the board will be up in no more than three days barring any difficulties on his end. It is coming, no worries.

So should we just upload new art and art that was only posted on the old MSPAbooru?

Seconding that these should be pools as well as "epic" and "diabetes". Also another suggestion for a pool could be "family bonding" which would be well-done, heart-warming pictures featuring characters bonding with their families--ex. comic of Crabdad hugging the heck out of child Karkat after he draws a picture of Crabdad. The Kankri Yandere Chronicles series could also be a pool as well as some well known AUs such as Runawaytuck, 4Chords, Guidestuck, etc.

Could someone explain what exactly a pool does?

Also, anyone have problems with the tagme tag coming back after deletion?

I'm kind of super against removing tags like sadstuck, ohgodwhat, au names ect. since the tagme tag is now an unsolvable problem and a rather ugly thing. There is absolutely no sensible argument anyone can make about the tagme tag being more helpful than any tag no matter how unnecessary one personally may feel said tag to be.

But that's just my opinion I guess.

There is no getting rid of it on a picture with less than five tags, this is why we should not be getting rid of tags but maybe thinking of a few more (or at least not removing them...) just so the tagme tag isn't 40k images, which I would not be surprised it if even surpasses that... its was just over 9000 of 13000 before we started tagging and at least reducing some of them. It kind of makes the site look messy and wow it's already going to be huge enough.


To me pools are better suited for "Nepeta playing with yarn"
"Aradia punching Vriska" "Tavros and Aradia flarping" ect. Things that you might want together but tags don't account for.

Well, I wonder how many tagmes we could nix just by adding "jack_noir" to all the "bec_noir" picturse, since they're the same damn guy anyway.

Probably some but not a substantial amount I would think. I know it's going to be on some of em, but I am stoutly against removing tags especially fairly prolific ones like sadstuck / ohgodwhat and making it worse

I typically see pools on other boards for things like what the "ohgodwhat"/"sadstuck"/etc tags were for on Skaianet, though. Your ideas are OK too though.

A lot of these boards have really detailed tags for things like eye color, hair, outfit, etc., but since there's only Homestuck characters on this board it seems superfluous. Are you sure there's no way to mess around with the "tagme" thing?

No. I inquired. It's programmed into the board and can't be modified.

Typically yeah you're probably right, but typically there are literally tags for everything on a booru as you said, which is something users here are really dead set against. That's why it's set up the way it is with five being the absolute minimum before it considers something complete. I've tried padding it with somewhat innocent tags like weapon names and such but I definitely don't think we should be removing tags right now is all.

That's true. Well, I've also seen subjective tags on boorus before, so it could go either way. I have seen pools being used for more "specific" things so maybe that way is best.

It's our booru we can use it however we want :P

I don't mind their being ohgodwhat pools or whatever, I'd just prefer the tags to stay.
