I've been seeing both the delete button as well as the flag for deletion button.

Also I've had an idea for a pool, pictures of really inhuman looking trolls because I've noticed quite a few pictures that fit the description and I think it'd be nice to group them together for people who like that stuff. You could add the alien looking carapace and cherub pictures as well.

"Alien looking aliens" as a working title.

Great pool idea, I am one of those people. Also I tried using the delete button by testing it with a pic I was going to flag anyway, but it didn't seem to do anything after it gives you a box to type in the reason you are deleting it.

I'll be handling all the pictures in need of underling tagging today. For everyone's future reference, any image with an Underling in it (e.g. ogres, imp, liches) gets tagged with the respective Underling tag and the general "underlings" tag.

Alright, all the underling images should be properly tagged now. Everything that had an Imp, Ogre, Basilisk, Giclops, Lich, Lich Queen, Lavasquid, or Acheron tag is good to go. I remember having to tag for a few Basilisks and Giclopses when I tagging {both here and on Skaianet}, so there's the possibility that some images didn't get tagged right and I missed them, but hopefully the majority of them are complete.

I'll keep my eye out for any potential misses, doesn't hurt to have an extra pair of eyes or two going.

Now tagging stuff released by WhatPumpkin as prints etc. as official_merch.

Can the 2011 calendar lineup be found somewhere?

(broke 1000 pics checked for complete tagging BTW)

I think a good idea for pools would be pages of a comic. It would make it much easier to find the other pages.

As a heads up, you don't have to ask permission to make pools. Go nuts so long as they aren't offensive.

Wasn't there some kind of a "this image has followups" function you're *supposed* to use for comics?

Among the "edit" options is a field marked "parent". You can assign an image as a "child" post by putting the post ID of the desired "parent" image in that field. I've set up post #1082/post #1083/post #1084 as an example. As you can probably see, it's a touch cumbersome for this, but it works.

But speaking of pools, the help docs say how to use the mass-adder to put stuff in pools if adding them individually would be tedious, but it doesn't say how to add pictures individually in the first place. Huh.

Status report, new plans
Many of you appear to be going around picking random pics to tag? This makes it kinda hard to locate exhaustively the pics that still need tags (particularly missing artist tags and the like which cannot be found based on pre-existing tags, unlike, say, outfits). Linear browsing is starting to turn up a lot of already tagged stuff, so I'm thinking of switching to a new strategy.

1) Take some tag around 100-1000 pics that can be expected to be reasonably stable (won't suddendly get 50 new entries somewhere in the middle of the archives)
2) Subtract some big artists & "source_needed" etc, as well as previously finished tags
3) Check all the rest for artist tagging
4) Repeat

I've done Becquerel, cover_art and Grandpa in this fashion so far. After a good bunch of these are done, this should allow dealing with bigger tags (main characters) in similar fashion.

The point is that while there are too many artist tags for subtracting them all to find pics that need tagging to be possible (I've tried: the booru refuses to search anymore at some point when the search term has a couple hundred "-artist" entries), this way smaller artist tags can be largely eventually subsumed "under" other tags. Once everything under something like "John" has its artist tagging in order, subtracting that will make a *sizable* dent in the backlog with just one tag.

(Another thing that *could* work is liberally spamming a temporary "has_artist" tag, but that seems like a dumb idea.)

Yeah no that last bit sounds way too annoying. "Liberal spam" is not a thing I want.

I'm still working my way from the back and am around 6000 now, I just hover over pictures before I tag them to see if tags are missing (usually artist tags or source_needed I've found). I'll keep going linear, double checking never hurts and it doesn't bother me really.

Good to know I can skip over Bec and Grandpa, though I'll probably double check em anyways (not questioning your work, just again, doublechecking).

I'm going to finish up cleaning up the siblings tag today as a side. It's almost fixed up proper. I've been fully tagging them as well so most of if not all the sibling pictures should be done.

I am guilty of randomly picking pictures to tag when the sync was going on, because the board moved too fast to go linear but I still wanted to chip away. I've also focused on fixing some tags and fully tagged those pictures as well. That I admit to and apologize for the inconvenience

Ok 1-6000 are completely tagged as of now.

It's not necessarily complete tagging I'm doing (hard to keep up with all the new tags proposed/quietly started), mainly source tagging. Visually distinguishable things like "grayscale" can be done separately on sweeps of their own.

Added progress to OP.

I gotcha. I'll keep going with my linear complete tagging then.
