Where did you get brooding and inferiority complexes out of that update though? Where did you get that out of any pestertlogs? Yeah I am not following this at all, perhaps I need some in comic context as to where exactly any of the other three got broody and erroded. I missed that part completely.
Jane looks to have completely gotten over romantic drama, or at the very least it isn't crippling her to the point where she can't kick ass with her giant god fork and her goony mustache (yeah complete erosion of her character which wore a fake mustache the first time we met her) with her good friend Roxy (who was smiling and shooting crap with a gun while being all foxy). Jake didn't look particularly tore up either. He just looked pissed at an underling.
Please help me out here, I am so confused.
Where are you getting any indication at all of anybody's mental state out of this update?
I'm telling you the logical outcome of the state we left the team in + 4 months. The thing is, I've put some thought into what "Prince of Heart" actually means, and how it applies to things we've seen already. Go to bed and come back when you're rested; it should make a bit more sense.
Dave's character has quite a lot to do with him trying to be like his Bro, because that's what Dirk does to people. He struts around being better and more impressive than them in every way. And that drives them to be more like him, which would be consistent with the competency on display. And really, I actually think this theory was overly optimistic; there's hints in Act 6 itself of so much worse he could do here.
