Some things I noticed about kid ships:

Jade tends to get shipped more with the low bloods, and also to have relationships (in canon and fanon associated) with lowbloods. See: Tavros, Karkat, Nepeta, Kanaya, Sollux (she tends to work with him a fair amount in fanfic)

On the other hand, when it comes to Rose's rarer pairings she has a tendency to ship up high on the hemospectrum. See: Eridan, Feferi, to a lesser extent Vriska and Equius, but with very little impact on the low end (with perhaps the exception of sollux).

Such trends aren't as noticeable in the boys (who get a lot more variety in shipping period). I dunno, I just thought it was kind of interesting to note.

I've seen pretty great fics with Rose and Gamzee as well aiming for the whole "young people with mental breaks under their belt" angle.


That is pretty interesting and minus a few subversions (Horrorcuties comes to mind) pretty true.
