WHAT THE FUCK.

Why does Hussie think any of this was the right way to do any of this.

GREAT JOHN PLEASE CONTINUE ABOUT WHAT A LOVELY TIME YOU HAD SEEING THESE PEOPLE YOU HAD NEVER BEFORE MET IN PERSON, I WOULD LOVE TO HEAR YOU TALK MORE ABOUT THAT AND YOUR UNCONTROLLABLE POWERS OF NARRATIVE COHESION WRECKING.

Is that what you had in mind? I could go on.

^Not sure if serious or sarcastic since I heard some complaints that the great reunion was mostly skipped over and only mentioned off hand through brief exposition.

Oh, no, that was all genuine, Chocoboo. I mean, the capitalization and italics were theatrical for Snuffleheim's benefit, but the message was straight from the heart.

The story has flown completely apart since grimbark Jade. The only thing I'm looking forward to right now is Kanaya and Karkat meeting with Echidna. Except, I can't really look forward to that, because I know it is actually just going to take the form of Karkat explaining their conversation at great length to someone else after the fact, while Kanaya occasionally says "Hmm".

Looking forward to any landmark points in Homestuck is pointless because they will be glossed over.

To be honest, I thought the story was starting to break apart during late Act 5 right around the Scratch intermission. It's just that in Act 6 it was more of a trudge since the cast didn't get any smaller, just felt more isolated, and many potential character building/interaction moments were glossed over haphazardly and/or happened off-screen with a comment from a character saying "yeah X happened"(though with that last part it isn't new). It doesn't help that this whole act has some of the most awful arcs in this story, IMO.

This isn't a new thing for Hussie, remember when he gave the audience blueballs when he had Jade and Doomed John meet their denizens but not show the audience meeting them?

Also, not sure what to feel about John's reality altering stuff. On one hand, it could lead to some cool effects being done on the comic such as Cascade, Caliborn destroying the website, or recently, how John entered the recent webpages. On the other hand it could really lead to some cheap Deus ex Mechanica stuffs.

But I really liked Seer:Decend and the troll-meet up with the Derse twins. :(

It doesn't bother me too much, but yeah, still would have wanted to see that

It's been apparent since the beginning of the (sub)act that we will be doing gratuitous metafiction stuff. I really can't muster up the energy to complain about it right now (although my overall hopes of Hussie handling the matter well are not stellar, he's always been playing it for gags rather than seriously).

^I wouldn't mind if it were ALL gags, because after all, that's what Problem Sleuth was, and I loved that. Thing is, there has been plenty of serious buildup (and, for precedent, dramatic release). Just going all-gags now, near the end of the penultimate act, especially when the stuff that's going on is pretty freaking dramatic in nature? It's frustrating as hell to read.

Its getting to the point to where I'm rooting for Caliborn to just erase everyone.

He's like my absolute favorite character in HS but even he's been edging on annoying lately. Well ok not Caliborn himself but the Narrator that talks to him.

Grimbark Jade though.. The problem is her dialog is just... BLAH. She cannot do the evil minion bit at all. It's like Hussie took the worst of Jade and combined it with the worst of Meenah.

I mean Dave reforged his fucking sword and all I could muster was a "Wait... what? Huh.". I had been waiting for that for like ever. Something is seriously wrong here. Its like oh that happened.

Hussie needs to slow down.

Really? I love all the Hussie-Caliborn conversations, that's by far my favorite Hussie-outlet in the story (and I wouldn't mind if it were the only one).

Probably helps that half their dialogue has been about the Felt, though.

Maybe it was just because Hussie skipped over a lot of Caliborn's quest that I was upset with him while he was talking to Caliborn.

Because seriously what a loss, missing out on those convos. I love Caliborn. I get that we're supposed to hate him and love his sister, but that just makes me turn that expectation around. Kind of like when I saw alien smurfs dying in slow motion in James Cameron's Avatar while sad music played in the background, it only made me start cheering for the humans.
