^In the first Alterniabound walkaround, Nepeta mentions chatting with Akwete Purrmusk. So Dave and Nepeta's conversation was off-screen. I think it was mentioned that Nepeta also talked to Jade somewhere in the comic, but that too was off-screen.

Did he ever actually talk to Nepeta? I'm looking through the archives for any time they might've talked, but I'm not seeing anything here. If it was mentioned somewhere and I'm just missing it, let me know, but it looks like the only human Nepeta ever actually talked to was Rose.

Well seeing that he spent the time to create a fursona and actually role-played with Nepeta using it, he probably has a soft spot for the furry fandom. Wouldn't be surprised if he role-played with Terezi using his fursona too during his time on the meteor.
