(that is, because they only get different blood, and another caste, but do not change sign)

It might be handy to know, but it's incorrect.

In reality they aren't, but people like to associate blood swapping with the combining of traits from the character that was originally that blood to the character that the blood is being swapped to, so it fits.

Do we REALLY think back names are dependant of blood color? I've got a bloodswap with for example an Olive Terezi and she's still called Pyrope.
