Some other new tag suggestions:

crows since there are many images with the striders(especially Dave) that have crows.
impalement another one of those trigger tags. It would be mostly used for characters who have got shown some stabs--see the countless dead Bro images.
suit or tuxedo for any images of characters wearing classy dress suits that are not featured in the comic.

I don't suppose mass tag replacement was among our upgrades, by any chance?

Speaking of, I don't think I got an answer re: what the "pixel" tag is supposed to mean and the possibility of replacing it with something more indicative.

rating:explicit seems to be very random right now...

Good news is thanks to slayerducks hard work, the tagme tag is no more.

(i'm still for the detailed tagging of whatever we can though).

Impalement would be a good tag. I've pretty much just been going with the gore tag on pictures like that, but it certainly wouldn't hurt to further detail things.

@CSdragon. Slayerducks said he would change all the ratings to safe while he was syncing. I'm sure there's just some he hasn't gotten to yet.

I also made a winter tag a while back since winter pictures and winter clothes and snow in general are a particular aesthetic. Not to mention all winter pictures are not Holidaystuck and not all Holidaystuck pictures are winter.

I'd push for a similar summer tag, but I feel that might be pushing people's tolerance :X

Was going since late Skaianet. I also started cuttlefish in connection with Feferi not long ago.

Should all these species tags be plural by default? Skaianet used to autocorrect "squiddle" to "squiddles" but then we had "frog", "basilisk", "frightening_beast", "angel"…

Another note: is "problem_sleuth_(adventure)" *really* necessary if we're tagging all the PS things anyway? Seems not really any more useful than having a "homestuck" tag. Prime pool material, tho…

^ That's something I'm fine with being replaced by a pool.

I understand the desire for clarification since like it or not, Homestuck is kind of our "default" simply due to sheer numbers, not any other reason. But a PS pool would be a fine substitute imo.

Also I think we should just keep em plural so we don't have a frog tag and a frogs tag.

The difference between a Homestuck tag and a PS tag is that Homestuck overwhelmingly outnumbers PS. There is a literal sea of Homestuck and PS inhabits a small pond. I guess a pool could work too, but pools are kind of limiting unless I'm misunderstanding them (I might be, I might be). I mean, what if you want to look at something like problem_sleuth_(adventure) +shipping or problem_sleuth_(adventure) + karkat for specific character crossovers or what have you. It's not like it's particularly hard to tag or anything and I think it does lend convenience to people wanting to look up things from that adventure.

Re: crow tag: I know I was putting the crow tag on images back when Skaia was still up and running, so I'm happy with people agreeing on it. A good tag.

I agree with all Chocoboo's tag suggestions actually, they're good suggestions.

And regarding the summer tag... I think that would be really cool for pictures clearly taking place in the summer. That have a summer vacation-kind of atmosphere.

I imagine mostly people would just look for a particular pairing, not PS shipping in general. And is it possible to search within a pool…? Should get that tested out.

I'm just saying it opens up that possibility. Although I'd imagine looking up PS shipping in general would be a thing some people would do? Because it's not like we have a great amount of most PS pairs. I know it's a thing I would do, anyway. It opens up the possibility of looking up anything they want in combination with the tag though really which is a big bonus pools don't... seem to have?

But yeah, searching within a pool is the unknown factor. I don't think you can, but if you can I don't have a real issue with it moving over to a pool.

Going thru a mass of Equius. "Robots" is now a tag (could be renamed "fightbots" or something), considering "bow" and "towel".

Is "mythologystuck" still valid for centaurs/mermaids/etc?

Also this might be needless detail but started "inexact source" for anything that only links to a blog/userpage rather than the exact artwork.

Wouldn't make sense to change the "earthbound" to "mother", seeing that the former only refers to on installment while the later refers to the series as a whole? There are a few images that are mother 3 crossovers.

Also what do you guys think of a superhero tag for images that has the kids dress-up as non-crossover/original superheroes. Kids decked out in sentai get-up and possibly generic magical girl would also fall under this banner.

Should be fine seeing as Mom will be a green link so they'll be visually distinct.

I'm ok with a superhero tag too, and since everyone's taking this all so surprisingly well, I guess I'll go ahead and make a summer tag for explicitly summery pictures like beach stuff ect.

Just know if you are making up tags, I do expect you to chip in with tagging said tags.

I went ahead and made a juggling_clubs weapon tag and a headshot tag for images focusing on the face / some upper body but not all as well.

Don't forget things like blood, alternate_hair, clothing tags and artists tags as well.

Fuller sweeps coming eventually for the ones I just brought up, right now I'm just doing a source trawl around the late 15000s. Aiming for every image to have one of the following:
-an artist tag
-a cosplayer tag
-unsourced
-broken source

That's fine, it's really the effort I'd like to see. I'll of course tag them too on my way from the back to the eventual front of the board.

And we can shorten it to mythology if you want. I kinda feel mermaid should even be it's own tag given how popular in fanart it is, but mythology in general definitely works too.
