It was a thing on the board p.much because no one was brave enough to replace some of the filler portmanteaus with actual ship names. I don't really feel like the fandom has a ship name for it either hence deferring to daverezi, but coolkids was used in comic and works well I think?

I mean we changed vriskan/aya and nothing bad happened.

Strange, when I typed up "karezi" in the search box, all of the adorabloodthirsty images popped up on the site like it's supposed to. Isn't it possible to do the same with "daverezi", just turn it into an alias so all the images tagged as coolkids come up? I'm just thinking about the casual viewer who occasionally visit this site, and don't bother with the forums to look at the shipping directory(which is still seemed to be labeled as "daverezi", BTW), and like it or not, daverezi is the popular ship name for that couple in the fandom.

tl;dr alias should be the common fandom name, the tag should be proper name that is called on this site



But many folks in the fandom consider the portmanteaus legit ship names, hence the popularity of the terms JohnKat and Karezi.

And many consider other ship names legit.

No one is going to be satisfied in full.

Yep go ahead and request it and I'll accept it right now. I still think the tag itself will have to be manually replaced but it'll help searchers.

There it looks about right, both coolkid and daverezi now go to coolkids which is at 408 which seems proper.

MLP watchers in the audience: got any ship name suggestions for Tavros/Fluttershy? It's going at around a dozen pieces (pretty remarkable for a crossover pairing).

Something with communing / an affinity for animals or a general softer demeanor would work as those are their main shared traits that lead to the comparisons working rather well.


I'm not feeling creative enough to come up with something exact atm though.

Also if Fluttertav is gonna get a tag, I see no reason why Homura / Dave wouldn't. It has to have close to that if not more.

All I can come up with is "bull's shy" (from "bull's eye") for Tavros/Fluttershy. But the very fact that I had to just explain what it's a pun on makes me think it's pretty bad.
