I'm thinking this trickster business has something to do with preparing them for going godtier, or something to do with godtiering in general as that's the next big step the need to do plotwise.

It's already had some important aftereffects on the plot. Fefetasprite has exploded, bringing two more dead trolls together in the bubbles, and created the Warhammer of Zillyhoo, which has needed an origin for a while now. Eventually this Warhammer is getting sent back with the rest of the weapons into the Lotus capsule so Jake can send it with Liv to John.

Side note: After checking the color on the chains, they're a similar gold to Prospit's yellow, so this could be Prospit's core. I'm still hoping we're seeing what was going on in Jane's head during the rampage though, particularly since the indication with "going back to Act 1" implies we're travelling back in time, plot-wise.

I'm guessing that this is where Jane's mind has actually been this whole time, while the Trickster process simply took her body for its own device, leaving it a mostly mindless husk.

It would certainly explain how most of the Trickster's actions were based primarily on recent actions their host bodies took, and the way they basically echoed every piece of dialogue spoken back at them.
EXCEPT for Dirk who was probably a splinter!
This makes too much sense.

Since when did the phrase "circumstantial simultaneity," which usually applies to the plot flow and gives the narrative an excuse for great degrees of non-linearity, mean that there must be a linear progression between A6A5A1 and A6A5A2? Quite obviously, Hussie is attempting to skip to the aftermath of the candy orgy and put those events in the same subact that preceded said orgy. He will obviously fail, as Caliborn's going to take over the narrative or hit the tower with the crowbar again until the narrator (Hussie or Caliborn) returns us to the action of either the Zilly Santa party or the events IMMEDIATELY following.

EDIT: Also, I don't get why most of Tumblr and half the fandom seems to take the callback to Grimdark Rose in that last panel too literally, believing not that it compares Trickster Mode to Grimdarkness as it actually does, but instead that "trance" and "quaking" implies the passivity of her body and therefore the preceding act's existence as a mere dream or trip. A6A5A2 is NOT a Big Lipped Alligator Moment, no matter the implications of Hussie's paraphrase of the Nostalgia Critic's very words on such moments.

I pretty much have the same complaints/confusion Caliborn has regarding the Act structure right now.

Chiding the Cherubs about their lollipop isn't really fair when you're about to give all of the alpha kids god tiers, Hussie.

C'mon Hussie, they need to get the tiger already. Don't make us wait any longer. Don't end the act act act or start a new subact. Hussie pls

(Well ok, you can let Dirk and Jane have a conversation because I've been waiting for that, but THEN let them get the tiger.)

@Timeghoul: The beta kids got to godtier in a single day. I don't think the alphas are getting ahead of themselves, even if they haven't settled their problems.
