This is Post-Scratch Earth, moved from our original system to another, in another universe, after Jack's Red Miles. I think that Far Future Earth is actually in a troll universe. And the parents weren't born on Earth, but on other planets; the father slunk off to a system other than the one of his birth and mating in order to lay the egg.

Well, yeah, but if he was able to go to Earth to lay the egg, he had to be in the same universe as the planet was.

I had forgotten that it was relocated, though. Knew there was something funky about the chronology.

So, basically, this cascade of misfortune began because cherubs were never supposed to play Sburb. Which makes sense, given the god classes and the very bizarre session that Caliborn's been playing through.

But LE goes on to leave calling cards in the form of glitches in Sburb sessions. So either LE decided to mess with Sburb's programming...or he was responsible for Sburb's creation in the first place.

I'd personally prefer the former. Everything so far points to Sburb being a "neutral" entity, where bad shit happens because the game goes "off the rails" (characters prototype ridiculously powerful beings, superweapons fall into the hands of Jack, god-like creatures begin a session, etc.). While LE being directly involved in the creation the game would fit with the whole "setting up mechanisms to ensure his ascension" thing, it wouldn't make a lot of sense for a villain to be the sole person responsible. Especially since Sburb is a mechanism for universe creation.

Still, I don't think creating new universes is mutually exclusive from LE's goals.

He enjoys wanton destruction, but at the same time he "eats" universes.
