I think the point is Jade is pretty lousy at being a villian. She never really directly killed someone by her own hand even if she's easily capable of doing it herself. Maybe her morality side is fighting the effect of the mind control?

@Choco: Well, if she was willing to make the threat once under the assumption that Dave would save him with time powers, I'm not sure why that assumption wouldn't hold true a second time. Although if she really is fighting it, then it makes sense that she might not be entirely willing to do it more than once.

We confirmed this way back when Rose & Dave first caught up with the meteor, though… and slightly later again in Roxy: Sleepwalk…
