Also, is it just me or is the update thread's not as active as it used to be?

It helps that we're nearing the end of the month and the dawn of a newer thread to pop up soon. But I am noticing it's a lot generally quieter in here aside from the shiptag discussion.

In the hope of inspiring conversation, I was rereading some of the older updates and I ran into this tidbit:

Was anyone else really confused at this bit? I didn't see any discussion on it, so was it just explained elsewhere and I'm forgetting about it? I've been trying to figure out who or what her "daughter" could be referring to all day and the only reasonable thing I can come up with is that she's talking about GCat, but that raises a whole new slew of concerns!

I wouldn't be surprised if Jane actually made GCat during the period of time that got sugar'd out of time, but why would her current condition put a mothering spin on its creation? Does this mean GCat's been female this whole time? Does GCat even have a gender or biological sex at all? What purpose would serve from Jane thinking she's its mother? Is it just HIC speaking through the Tiaratop, but if that's the case then why would she feel the need to do that?

And perhaps most importantly, does this mean GCat is willing to eat raw human flesh? Somebody please tell me this line caught them off guard as well, because I'm just really baffled about it right now and could use a second opinion.
