Yeah, I was under the impressing she was referring to Jade since Jade has constantly refers to Jane as her mother.

Having just reread the whole Act so far, I guess it kinda makes sense to me now? I guess it just caught me off guard since Jade only called Jane her mom once, and in that instance it was more "this person is technically my biological mother" rather than "Mother, stab this guy in the gut for me" kind of deal. Although with that out of the way, I still find it kinda interesting how Jane Crockercorp feels a much more familial bond with her paradox family (or at the very least a need to refer to Jade as such) than Grimbark Jade does.

And on the bright side, rereading those older updates made me realize there may or may not be a gigantic candy corn floating in space around Derse (depending on exactly how literal the sugaring of the Inciphisphere is), sooo there's that.
