It looks as if he intends to give the ring to someone in the bubbles, considering we never actually see him wear the ring in A6I4 and his subsequent appearances in Caliborn's session. Even if he ends up keeping it, it doesn't look as if Hussie would retcon the ring onto him, considering its importance.
