Maaaaan I really wanted to like this update but all I could think of is how dopey Hussie's style looks, all big ol' gaping mouths and such. Imagine how this update would've landed if it were drawn by one of the fanartists.

I don't know about that man. Gamzee's gaping maw full of teeth combined with the strange bobblehead animation on the last page is kind of creepy. Reminds me of Lemongrab's jaws.

No, yeah, it totally works for Gamzee, but ugh sleeping Jane... uggghh. And ugh to some of Aranea's faces too.

I know, I know, work of comedy, but it's hard going along with emotional moments like Gamzee's plea for pax when there are so many distractingly goofy faces on all sides. Exhibit B: The Rose-Kanaya gourami kiss.

@Beelzebibble I just want to remind you, that after Gamzee killed Nepeta we had some goofy time with John, duh, John's goofyness was mixed with all the troll killing before seeking the highb100d. We should accept the fact, that Hussie likes to mix creepy and funny.

yeaaaaah.totally in agreement here. i cant stand how dopey hussies style looks sometimes. i mean i know homestuck is supposed to be a comedy but idk man. sometimes the balance between comedy and creepiness works but with homestuck its just kind of awkward. i feel like this is a more fitting tangent for the 'problem with homestuck' thread tho
