That being said, I agree with you, Mexistuck is kinda shitty and it's hard to imagine e.g. Koreanstuck (lol all the trolls work at a laundromat!) being accepted and not blowing up the fandom.

Well, one character who's a racist caricature is not the same as an entire *stuck based around racist caricatures. It's still bad 'cause racism sucks, but the two don't bear direct comparison and Mexistuck bothers me more.

P.S. It's splitting hairs but I'm not sure where you got "most celebrated" from. As far as I've seen, none of the dancestors except Meenah is really celebrated on an order anywhere near the human kids and Alternians.

Mmm I guess I could stand to be a little more discerning with my uploads. I just chuck most everything I come across onto here for archive purposes. Real sorry to anyone offended.

To answer your point though above me, Damara is pretty popular, one of the more outside Meenah and Aranea for sure (you can't logically compare the rest of the dancestors to the Alternians or kids based purely on screentime alone). And her blatant sexuality and caricature personality is definitely played up almost entirely. To me it holds a whole nother level of problematic issues specifically the parody of the oversexualization of various woc. This might make me a hypocrite for uploading it amongst everything else I upload but I do see this board as an archive of fandom good and bad (see; Caucasian joke fanart ect) for everyone including people who don't think like I do.

I of course have my limits which... yeah this is making really no sense on my end so I guess I'll just stop and apologize for anyone's day being potentially soured. This comic and this fandom as well deals with a lot of problematic issues like sexual erasure, stereotypes, abuse, all sorts of squicky things. Whether it deals with it good or bad I don't know. I try to toe the line but I'm sure I've fallen off more then once. Definitely not making excuses but I guess the silver lining is we can have discussions like this which is beneficial when had calmly and rationally.

(I'm pretty nervous making this post due to my great talent at putting my foot in my mouth so go easy on me if I said anything further offensive... but definitely do let me know. I did feel the need to at least clear some of the air)
