It could also be because he's an Heir. Meenah's royal blood makes her try to krill anyone who she perceives as a threat to her status, so an heir would probably be included in that category.

you guys are underestimating the thrill that a skilled huntress gets upon slowly stalking her prey, lulling them into a false sense of security, all while biding her time until the perfect time for the euphoric rush of the kill

I like the idea she just wants him dead cause hes an heir, also because hes the "new kid" around and he acts comepletely "not any given" to her.
