Latula has presumably been murdered. In Dangan Ronpa, blood is pink. It's weird.

It's not weird when you consider how weird and draconian Japanese censor laws are. The recent Jojo anime had blood coming out it's ears and even a pretty big eyesquick, none of which apparently needed to be censored, but any gore however did (and rather weirdly too, turning it to like bright orange pulsing stuff).

Needless to say, they are a country of some pretty big contradictions

Like american censorship isnt? hoenstly, in perspective, all countries ahve equally ridiculous censorship laws, it just comes off as more noticable and weird when its other countries because your not used to it. though i guess in some cases, japanese censorship can be a little strange, but even that is weird because of different levels of "rating" for a show allow different things through censors, things that may be okay in a higher or lower age/audience rating, arent okay in the in-betweens. its weird.

Nope, my country has perfect censorship laws.

Well I wouldn't say ALL countries have equally ridiculous censorship laws. Plus Japan is just a bit ridiculous because its laws are kind of contradictory.

Also they censor peens in porn I mean... haha why.

Yeah to me it's more the contradictions found in Japanese censorship that are so puzzling, more than the fact that they have censorship laws themselves (which you are right, every country has and they all do tend to cross over into pretty ridiculous territory).

They manage to be quite expressive and repressed at the same time, it's actually kind of fascinating.

I know there are many factors in place as to why it all is, chief amongst them their rather large segment of the population being older and therefore old fashioned (including many of their politicians and people in power) but I do have to think Japan is an interesting case by themselves in terms of the concept and practice of censorship.

at least with this, every troll/human in DRstuck has the same neon pink colored blood so everyone is equal.

on the topic of censorship in Japan, yeah it's pretty weird in terms of consistency (like some anime can depict impalement, decapitation, loss of limb, and explosive deaths even when it doesn't fit the theme, even stuff supposedly for kids, yet other animes, like say the Higurashi/Umineko series, pixelate/heavily shadow the gore)
