Well, recently I fell in love with homestuck. I joined an Italian MsParp chat with my friends (I'm exactly Fef), in wich we roleplay focusing on our fan storyline!...
Indeed, that's where this is born: in our storyline, the kids trolls are looking for their own legend weapons (like feferi's trident and eridan's rifle)... but these ancient artifacts are nothing more than wherewithal directly connected to their ancestors spirits, who sometimes comes 'out ' by possessing their bodies.

So assumably this is an AU with an "ancestral awakening" where if the beta!trolls collect their ancestors weapon/artifact(considering some probably don't have weapons to begin with) they get involuntarily possessed by their respective ancestors' spirit?
So, almost like Yu-Gi-Oh?
