Doesn't Aranea say she did as much as she could to HIDE her disability because she hated the idea of getting beforan culled? It'd be kind of silly for anyone who knew her well to accuse her of faking it.

I just assumed she reached godtier (and thus regained her sense of smell) and she was hiding that like everyone else was.
