I'm going to assume this was a skaianet original.

I thought the decision was to retire the skaianet_original tag and put "None (Skaianet Original)" in the source field.

That's what Jester and I arrived at and IIRC we were the only two to weigh in on the matter.

And we can't need "skaianet_imageboard" too, can we? Surely with the right documentation this can all be folded into "native_source"?

Skaianet Imageboard is the name of the actual character though. Has nothing to do with the source.

I'm fine with retiring the tag if it makes a difference to some people.

^ I think you misunderstand. The "skaianet_imageboard" tag is, I believe, here to indicate that the subject of the image is skaianet itself, rather than indicating that it came from skaia.

Oh okay, forget that point then. Though, looking at the images, maybe the two that feature screencaps from the site itself should be changed to "meta" and then "skaianet_imageboard" could be changed to a character tag, for clarity. That's what we use "meta" for, right?

Anyway, regarding "skaianet_original", I thought based on this post
http://mspabooru.com/index.php?p...amp;id=2&pid=705#3315
that Jester would be fine with retiring that tag and putting a note in the source field, as a "fair substitute". But then I see he went back and reinstated "skaianet_original" anyway after I'd phased it out. It's no big deal I guess, I just think "native_source" is better as a blanket tag.

Beezlebacon, you seem to have misunderstood what I meant in the thread so let me clarify in as clear terms as possible:
General Tag Thread:
If you could search by source it would be, but as far as I know that isn't the case. The putting the original tag in the source field would be a fair substitute for 'mspabooru_original' though. Just slap that in the source field for the current native source images (-skaianet_original of course) and I'm sated there.

By 'if you could search by source', I intended to indicate that I did not in fact agree with the removal of the tag and intended for it to remain in place. 'Putting the original tag in the source field' is referencing the discussion on a 'mspabooru_original' tag, and is something I took care of immediately after I believed we had a plan down. This is also suggested by the phrase 'I'm sated there', 'there' referencing the 'mspabooru_original' tag situation, and not the entire scenario happening with 'skaianet_original'.

I have no intention of seeing 'skaianet_original' removed in any way, shape, or form and disregarding any redundancy in the matter of its existence parallel to 'native_source'. And for the record, 'skaianet_imageboard' is a tag that doesn't need to be removed since it's just there to indicate the reference rather than the source.

Okay. I wish you'd have posted this as a follow-up in the tag thread when you reinstated "skaianet_original", though, to set the record straight.
