Finally a proper crossover with the Anime of the Year.

No, SNK is Shingeki no Kyoujin (Attack on Titan), which is an anime about humans fighting giant humanoid creatures that try to eat them.

This is a crossover with Free!, an anime about hot, well-built guys that are part of a swimming club with extreme homosexual undertones. (Though, to be fair, any anime could have homosexual undertones if you look at it a certain way.)

I would actually say Free is fairly light on any gay undertones, and is gay to the same extent male-based fanservice shows tend to be (girls grabbing each other's breasts, etc), and can just be taken as a male SoL with moe well muscled guys mostly.

I have a hard time calling it extreme in its homosexuality when I can think of anime airing this season with much gayer undertones.

Yeah what books said.

"Extreme homosexual undertones" sounds like a line straight off of /a/ (which is not a compliment).

"Extreme homosexual undertones" sounds like we are talking about MSPA, to my mind.

It was a joke :/ Don't know why everyone's getting so worked up over it.

For my part I get really annoyed when people talk about shows being "gay" that don't actually contain any canon homosexuality/queerness. Not only because it's so often used as a pejorative, but because as a gay person I'm interested in actual representation and don't like being misled that there will be queer content in a show when it isn't actually there. (I don't like Tumblr's habit of calling its favorite ships "canon" for similar reasons.)

Just, throwing that out there.
