Regardless, it probably wouldn't have worked. Despite the fact that, in a MUCH earlier conversation with Dave (when Jade first entered the game if I remember correctly) she stated "you can't play in fire; you can only die in fire!" she still probably wouldn't have died, due to her having Bec's powers.

When Bec first arrived on Earth, he emerged from the lava in the volcano. So, the lava may or may not have killed Jade, depending on if Jade inherited Bec's immunity to the molten liquid's heat by merging with him and dog tiering.

(Sorry for rambling 0n0" Hope I got all of my info correct)
