I'm pretty sure you can't have real guns "fire" like that with no ammo in them.

Plus, the way one's grey and one's black seems more like a toy thing than something you'd find on actual guns.

(I don't actually know much about guns though.)

Yeah, they're prop guns designed to do that recoil effect without actually shooting anything. Though I expect Jake would gladly fire real pistols indoors; that's what makes this dorktacularly fun.
