So when I was little I would always get Flareon, but now I hear they kinda suck. This true?

They used to have a problem with having a great Attack stat but no really powerful physical Fire moves to pair up with it. This has been fixed since Gen VI gave it Flare Blitz to play around with, however.

Even with them being finally given Flare Blitz, I heard that they are still the worst Eeveelution and that other fire type Pokemon vastly outclasses them.

tbh, I don't think you should sweat it if you choose Pokémon that kind of suck. I mean, I think Stunfisk are really adorable and fun, but I don't really recall anyone actually saying anything GOOD about it.

I want Stunfisk to have an ability that makes it immune to Stomp and Steamroller.

Virtually useless, but so perfect.
