Is it really alright to be posting pics like this around? I thought the images included with the Kickstarter update were supposed to be backer only. I mean Sure, fanart is unavoidable, but including the restricted image within another picture goes beyond that and feels like a deliberate attempt to circumvent the rules. Thoughts? How should we handle pictures like this?

These were posted on a very public and popular tumblr(this has over 1,000 notes for example within the couple of hours this character was revealed). In fact, most of the info and concept artwork came from various tumblrs. Images like these would have been already spread around among the fanbase, even if I didn't upload this piece fanart on this site.

All this tells me is that some assholes on tumbler think they are above the rules. What it doesn't tell me is why this breach of trust should dictate policy on mspabooru. Which is why I asked in the first place.
I know the wiki is taking steps to avoid posting restricted info and the dev team explicitly asked that the majority of the backer post (including the images in question) not be re-posted around the internet. Are we really just going to say "welp, whatever" just because some damage has already been done?

Just to clarify, I'm not referring to fanart of the new character in general, just to re-posting backer images directly or indirectly as the case may be. If it seemed like I was attacking you as the uploader of this pic then I apologize, as that wasn't my intent. I just feel this is something we should hash out and get a clear policy on before it becomes a bigger problem.

The question that we should be asking is: who's this young lady?

But typing out "Mystery Girl" all the time is all way to cumbersome. Thus I posit that the abbreviation "Myrl" is Clearly superior in every way, shape, form, and fashion. Clearly.

Propably she's the kid of two previous Homestuck characters, like John and Roxy. (if the adventure game is ambiented after SBURB when the original kids are middle-aged, of course)

What's middle-age for an immortal god or goddess?
