Yeah spotlighted within one day, I see nothing wrong with this.

(Actually Jane seems to have an unusually sexy spotlight pool. Body positivity yeah!!)

(I hope that's what that means!!!)

(I'm a skinny dude!!!!)

Well, if body positivity means drawing her with a healthy weight then I'm all for it.

Yeah, I notice many fans (including me) tend to imagine Jane as more voluptuous and womanly-looking than the other kids. I think the reason has to do with her Maid of Life title, even if it only works subconsciously.

It seems fitting that a player of life would be especially "fertile." For trolls, I guess fertility means the ability to provide freshly-slain prey to feed a giant monster. That means being both a long-range hunter and a diligent, attentive caretaker. Feferi has those qualities. For humans, fertility means the ability to gestate a fetus, give birth and feed the baby with milk. That means having a spacious round abdomen, wide sturdy hips, an ample bosom and a gentle motherly nature. Jane has the latter of these qualities. And maybe we can assume she has the others too, since she is the only human who (in the Beta world) gave birth and raised a child to adulthood.

All the Life players are good food-providers, but only now I noticed the sinister spin put on it by the Crockerian command to CONSUME.

I'm pretty sure the spark that lit the fuse on Zaftig!Jane was the conversation in which Caliborn jeered/kinda admired her weight gain. Of course we can't be sure how much of that was just Caliborn being a jackass and/or not understanding human physiology, but it was definitely a turning point in the fandom's perception of her. So much the better, I say.

Your explanation is a lot more interesting though

I agree with Beez on that Caliborn convo sparking the whole body positivity front, although I'm pretty sure there was a small but steady flow of plump Janes previous to that due to her initial associations with cooking and CrockerCorp in general. The Caliborn convo more or less made that kind of body headcanon WAY more prevalent, especially compared to the other girls in the human sessions. I think Rose gets the second-most body variety, at least to my memory. Most of the Jades and Roxies I can recall follow the same general kind of body type, though I'm sure we've got SOME examples to the contrary.

I'm mostly with the Anon above me. Fanart featuring Jane as a curvaceous girl started during her intro pages when we got to know of her cooking hobby and ties to CrockerCorp and the fact that she was the first player to be drawn with prominent breasts in Hero mode by Hussie. Prior to that, Hussie drew all the female kids and trolls flat and lanky as the boys in Hero mode and then Jane comes a long and fanartists put those two points together and started churning out curvy Jane artworks.

Though I do remember people bitching about that like they did with "fatferi". I remember some folks on the old skaianet being upset over a Jane fanart that had her at a slightly smaller body type than the one in this thread, calling it "too fat" and "terrible". Needless to say, that old thread was godawful and I'm glad that MSPAbooru hasn't hit skaianet's level lows.
