pure gold is very soft, yes. but you'd think a heavily militarized, hyper aggressive, race, completely centered on the idea of "beating the crap out of those below you" would use gold alloys that are a little stronger for "disciplinarian" use.

Still, it'd be funny.

And I also like to think that Meenah keeps stabbing John is to make him able to catch HIC's bitrident when she tries to stab him to death and he just ties it into a pretzel.
