After four years in the making, [S] Rex Duodecim Angelus is finally out and finished! Check it out here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-19Up0dLzNw

Already posted this on the forums, but it's cool that we got a sample image so the link can be posted here also.

damn, that was fun to watch. though now im wanting some high-grade art of kanaya's white outfit with the flower on the back. cause that looked cool.

But yeah, couldnt tell if that video was more badass or unyieldingly hilarious

I saw a lot of people in the comments section complaining about the section with Gamzee, which is understandable, although honestly I loved how the video handled it. I think it's scarier not to know what Gamzee did and let your imagination fill it in (also the use of Karkat's jaw-drop face was priceless). That being said, I think the Black King should have had a lot more damage on him post-Gamzee than he did. And there were a lot of other ingenious ideas throughout the video. Like the part where Eridan for a moment debates whether to shoot Sollux or the King, or the choice to have Vriska drop the dice by accident instead of actually throwing them. Or Equius breaking his bow. They really showed exactly who these characters were just in an action sequence, and that is really awesome. Basically, perfect video, forever.

I liked it, but certain parts of the animation were not as good as the rest (Gamzee pushing a pawn off the lily near the beginning comes to mind).

^^ Yeah, agreed. I think they wanted to make it as close to canonically acceptable as possible, and that means leaving vague what the comic leaves vague (which makes the Seer of Mind provoking it thing a bit of an odd choice, but whatever). And I disagree about the damage thing. Did you notice that he EXPLODED THE KING'S HEAD? That's kind of mindblowing (whoops where did I put my shades) given that the worst corporeal damage anyone else did consists of some amputated tentacles, claws, a blinded eye, and some (admittedly nasty) chest wounds.

^ Yeah, there were some stylistic inconsistencies there, which is a shame, but to be expected with that large a decentralized group. Some really good stuff too, though, like that one image where the pawns were rallying on a lilypad.
