It was kinda supposed to be poking fun at this image. But seriously though, I don't understand why every character must always be assumed to be white until proven otherwise. It's especially unsettling in Homestuck when you make all the kids white because then the sole survivors of humanity are all white and everyone else has been killed off. That has extremely unfortunate implications.

@MoonOfMajora, msotly eye colors, people want some rationalization and theyll argue, pruple/orange/red eyes can onyl occur when forms of albinism, which REGARDLESS of your race, your white. blue/green eyes are very uncommonly seen outside european ancestry.
so, unless you want to argue this is a parallel universe where colors are universal regardless of race (in which case which race they are matters even LESS), theres your justification from most people.
i personally prefer them being white if only because of aforementioned justification, though ive never been opposed to an island Jade here or there.

Implications no more unfortunate than the entire human population being reduced to 9 individuals. That is well below the minimum viable population, so loss of genetic variation is moot point.

IMO Jade and Jake have darker skin - no way they could've lived their entire life on an island without getting a suntan - while Strilondes have...idk, very pale skin and #FFFFFF hair?
