I think I like this pairing...if only because I think that John could get her out of the dark pit of a mindset that she fell into more than anyone else could.

Depends, i mean he wasn't able to fully pull Rose from being Grimdark (seemed more like he's the kind of guy who'd be "no, but yeah, I'm fine with what you choose to do"), but his sincerity and innocence might be a bit daunting to her given that the only one ever to get her to be that open was Rufioh (also a breath player), and look how that ended up. Not to mention John's "old fashioned" viewpoint on inter-species mingling...
