I feel sort of....weirdly sorry Vriska for her survival. She's going to be SO BORED on the meteor for 3 years. She can't raise armies there or explore vast lands or sail ships across paradox space or meet tons of new people or get a fish girlfriend. She's going to be stuck on a rock bored bored BORED.

To be fair, while she will never know it, it's actually a much better fate for her than death would be. After she died, she met a version of her crush who never met her to begin with, and later broke up with her. Then she spent billions of years with a permanently stunted development before being horrifically prototyped, only to return to death immediately after. Only then did she meet her former crush, her dancestor, and Meenah. Then most of her remaining friends betrayed her, her dancestor split for a powergrab, and she gave up. She desperately tried to cling to relevance when it was growing rapidly obvious that she would never get her former glory back, and instead be trapped in a bubbly prison for eternity until Lord English decides it's her turn in the rainbow electric chair.

However, by staying alive, she will continue to grow and develop as a living person, and actually mature both physically and mentally this time. Nobody seems intent on killing her any longer, she would likely meet both Aranea and Meenah way earlier than she did before, as she's still traveling through the dreambubbles with the others, and 3 years without needing to have a scheme cooking might mellow her out a little. Plus, by the time they reached the new session, there would be a plethora of exceedingly powerful foes to topple: The Condesce, her hands, Bec Noir, Jack English, GCat, Slick's Felt, and whoever else wants to oppose them. She'll get to go on fantastic raids to take down her own legendary Empress, and attain even greater glory and level like never before.

Sure, she won't get to explore other memories as much, and meet so many copies of the same 24-28 people, and go on treasure hunts to find mystical juju treasures, but she already accomplished all that. The power of canonical recursion and the Ring of Life are both safely secured, and her destiny will now be remembered by many others. All because an unforeseeable force with no discernible origin decided she deserved a punch in the face more than a stab in the back. 3 years of boredom is nothing, when the alternative is an eternity of it.

Wait when the heck did most of Vriska's friends betray her? Do you mean when they gave up on her blow up paradox space in a circle plan? All they did was say the plan was dumb and ollie out. Even Vriska gave up on that plan as dumb and pointless and went on carnival dates instead eventually.

Anon #3 here.

I'm kinda hoping that John's retcon shenanigans didn't erase ghost!Vriska out of existence. Sure, ghost!Vriska had to endure eons of suffering, but she has come to find her own happiness at the end of it all (at least when we last saw her).

^ I'm betting that ghost!Vriska's "happy ending" with Meenah is just Hussie messing with people; additional fluff to be destroyed in the upcoming retcon.

Like Arin messing with Danny here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mf20NdGU0Qk#t=223 (Shadow of the Colossus spoilers i guess)
