She just acts like she is, honestly. "Stable" isn't a word I would use to describe Kanaya so much as "would like you to believe she is stable."

well, compared to other trolls... plus, her most infamous "unstable" moment was after a douche destroyed the hope for the repopulation of their spieces, KILLED her and a crazy clown killed two of her friends.

I'm prrrretty sure that's a turning point for about anybody.

Nah, that was Kanaya being legitimately angry and also knowing that she had to quell a soon to be even more violent situation.

Kanaya being unable includes her various breakdowns about her red interests not being perfect or listening to her, having an addiction to blood, and generally being nervous and avoiding a lot of important matters.
