Yes, because the lustful obsession over her ex-boyfriend and the willful flaunting of sexual crassness as a means of dominating a social interaction and humiliating those that approach her for her gratification just gushes asexual orientation.

Do these people even think anymore? Or do they just impose their own insecurities about their identity on the outcast character and try to delude themselves and the world around them to believe that the reason said character, and by extension themselves, is ostracized is because of bigotry on increasingly shaky grounds and stretches of logic, instead of admitting they, as in both of them, are just personally unlikeable as people.

Wow, it's almost as if Damara was romantically abused by her long-term partner and then bullied for it by others, leading her to have a rough exterior and put up a mask in order to protect herself from further pain. Amazing how that was a thing that happened.

(I don't think it was ever confirmed if Damara has *actually* had sex with anyone. So the fact she uses intense flirtation to intimidate and makes sexual remarks doesn't mean she can't be asexual.)

Been thinking a bit about this today, tbf she only suffered romantic/physical(non-romantic caliginous) abuse and not sexual.

Seems the pic would be implicitly correlating those to be directly resulting in asexualism. Now certainly such abuse could lead to either a) an aversion towards intimacy (which probably is the reason people headcanon her as asexual) or b) a detachment with intimacy but not physicality (she can still be sexual/engage in sex/continue to act like she's interested sexually - whereas if she was indeed asexual she'd never need to mention any sexual thing at all, unless as stated prior, only meant to tease - but not looking to get into, at the very least, a romantic/meaningful relationship where she's been hurt before). We know that she can drop the sexual banter and be serious (talk to her as Rufioh in the flash, and she'll go from "soliciting sex" to "want me to bring the big guy here to destroy everyone" after a while, or even just use her to talk to everyone).

But as we all know and conclude, people are gonna think what they want to think.
