On one hand Jape really deserves being called out for a lot of his bullshit.

On the other hand... Vriska's methods of dealing with Pages leaves a LOT to be desired

Even if Jake needed calling out this randomass unconnected blue stranger who seems to be just being an asshole to be an asshole isn't the person to do it. And them trying just makes them a fucking asshole.

In short, Vriska is an asshole. I mean that's part of her character. That's didn't stop being a thing or anything.

Considering Jake is supposed to be this destined grand hero I'm guessing Vriska is trying to keep him down so as not to steal her thunder. SHE'S supposed to be the hero of this story and she'll take any other heroes out of the picture if need be.

I feel like the more hope he gets, especially at this time where Jake hasn't fully mastered his powers yet, the harder it will be for him to get out of super-pageiyan mode (how like with Aranea and her unleashing his massive Hope powers had blinded him from everything else). Vriska is doing this partly to keep Jake in a low state until the final battle where he can show his true abilities off...ON THE OTHER HAND *sigh* vintage-8itch vriska is a bit bittersweet.

If this is a plan and not her just being a bully because she's a bully I kind of doubt it's a benevolent one.

Although it would be interesting to see how that particular plan blows up in her face.
