Wouldnt this not be respecting their identity? Davepeta in this was clearly drawn to be more female, but for all the artist knows they could easily identify as a male. Currently they are confused to what gender they'd identify as.

Curvature in the chest does not make someone female. They can have rumble spheres and still identify however they like.

Drawing on, how you say 'rumble spheres', means that the artist is basically assuming Davepeta is female. When they have yet show any clearness to hang towards any gender. Their look is rather androgynous in the comic after all. I can easily see them being either or, while this image just seems mostly female.

That's you making the assumption that boobs=girl.
Stop doing that, please.

The assumption that a) a nonbinary person must be androgynous, and b) androgyny has to follow a masculine default is really toxic.
Yes they don't have much chest definition in the comic. They also don't have a neck or arms half the time. Very few people in the comic are ever drawn with notable breast tissue, it is part of the art style.

Oh no, its toxic that i'm defending something I identify with, quite frankly i'd hate it if someone was pushing features onto me to make me look more like one side or the other. Thats my choice. Some either nonbinary or androgynous can have 'rumble spheres' but on the contrary someone with some you can clearly see and make judgement on tends to remove that fact of their gender being undecided to everyone. Adding a clear and noticeable breast is basically forcing a thought that they'd end up picking female to pretty much anyone who wouldnt properly know what they are. I actually know a few people who are androgyn who tend to hide any bust they had so they didnt come off as female. They'd look how they felt so people would have to ask what they were.

pushing features ...[to]... look more like one side or the other

That's the problem right there.
To suggest that having breasts make you a girl is bad.
It also has the flip-side that a lack of breasts make you not a girl.

We hope this isn't coming out as an attack on you, it's suppose to be a defending of the other side. You don't have to be masculine to be androgynous. (even though that's what people want to push...which is why that other person called it toxic; in fact, you mentioning friends that feel the need to hide any bust shows that problem pretty clearly)
