One way you can add a post to a pool is to put in pool: followed by the pool's id number.

The way the import function works, you put in tag(s) in the search box, and in brings up pictures. All the pictures brought up are put in the pool when you hit "import". You can remove pictures from the group by checking "remove posts" and clicking pictures you want gone.

If you only want to put one specific image in a pool, use the method I described above. For example, you would put "pool:72" in the tags to place this image in the "In the Still of The Night" pool.
