Something tells me that this is trying to imply that the Beta kids are more messed up than the Alpha kids.......

That's pretty hard to achieve when the alpha kids involve an underaged drinker with alcohol dependency, a psychopath, a gun nut moron, and Jane.

in reality, im pretty sure the beta kids were perfect sburb participants because they didn't endure a 5-month long depressive traumatic PTSD state where they suffer from extremely intense pyschological damage after killing literally everyone they could've ever loved and everywhere they've ever been and everything they ever knew on Earth. So yeah. No regrets = Best SBURB players.

I don't think the Alpha Kids had any 5-month long ptsd thing either, they were all just wrapped up in their personal drama.
As far as I know nobody really acknowledges that the rest of their species has died other than a "shucks, that sucks".

Dirk and Roxy didn't have much to miss on Earth. Infact for the both of them it might seem like SBURB was a blessing. Roxy might miss her carapacian neighbors, but they were all suffering and had gotten out of their misery. And besides, I'm sure she felt much better after seeing other carapacians on Derse. Jake might've missed the Tinkerbulls on Hellmurder Island, but not much else. Jane, however, has no excuse and even if she might not've seen much being the heiress of Betty Crocker she still has no reason over not being sad after destroying earth.
