Except this is an actual story and AU where Cupcakes was indeed a laughable attempt at shock value.

I've never read Heinoustuck (too much crying John for me, I am indeed a sensitive baby) but it's not really comparable.

Yeah but the creator is actually taking the time to make it into a story, so I have at least respect for them on that level. Putting the effort in if nothing else.
