Ugh this comic made me pale ship this like burning.

Going from that look of terror to the look of joy on his face in the last page is just heartwrenching man.

I know it goes against canon but man I so prefer dead characters drawn with some kind of light / whited out pupil. The eyes are the single most expressive part of the body, and something like this would be so immensely less effective without the emotion shown through the eyes.

And yes they are dead.

Yeah, with a couple exceptions the dead characters look a bit emotionless. At least in sprite mode, the Openbound talksprites were good at conveying emotion.
