I thought it was cute that the Tinkerbulls like Jake even though he accidentally shoots them. I wonder why they were attracted to them even though supposedly lusus were hostile to humans according to Dirk's history lesson.

Something to do with being a Page, maybe? I mean, Tinkerbull was obviously not strong enough to care for Tavros much after he hatched but he still chose him. There might be a similarity between the strength of a tinkerbull and the slow development of a Page's abilities.
