Dunno, they have the whole clone facility thing going on. It would make no sense for them being able to do so in the long run, because the carapacians have been designed to fight and die in Sburb, not to live and multiply on their own accord. Their exist only to serve the players, not to enjoy life.

And that's sad.

@mr_ruse: Well, you also have to consider the fact that the carapaces also have a purpose after the game; traveling pack to the players home universe during and after the War and rebuilding civilization on the players home world when the Reckoning causes a mass extinction. I doubt they have the luxury of salvageable cloning technology up to their level of advancement often, so some ol' fashion breeding could be an option, but hey, this is a purely hypothetical, as the Huss is one of those ass-backwards writers who try to make a sci-fi story with an enormous and intricate plot while refusing to engage in proper world-building, and he tends to be particularily squemish about direct questions on how his invented species go about performing sex. Plus this particular pic is humanized, so yeah, moot.

We also have to remember that Jack specifically seems to be in numerous universes one of "those characters". so even if all other carapacians lack sexdrives, doesnt mean anything once you get to slick.
