The artist was matching blood colors to text colors, as much as possible.

Except for Roxy ad Rose apparently.
And I would say Tav's blood would be a closer match for Dirk then yellow. Also Jake and Jade would probably be switched, Jake is a darker green type then Jade...
but I'll stop nitpicking now :Y.

In the case of Rose it is a LOT closer to Gamzee than to Feferi, so I took a liberty there. I figured Roxy would make a better indigoblood (though I originally wanted her to be violet, go figure.)
^They're the symbols of non-zodiacal constellations. In order we have a clock, Pegasus, a wolf, a (big) dog, a rabbit, and air pump, a lynx, and a female sea snake.
