I remember when equius died the fandom jizzed ten gallons over gamzee being a psychopatic murderer.

when there might be a slightest chance of gamzee being dead, the fandom draws sad and fluffy comics. as if nepeta wasn't terrified, piss mad and terrified again in seek the highb100d for only seeing him.

do you really fucking expect me not to throw the biggest fucking party ever, for seeing that overrated bitch get shot? after all that equius bashing, all that time trying to stay calm,silent.

It's not that I don't think people should pay for their actions, but (and I can only speak for myself personally) I am kind of ready for the vicious cycle of death and revenge and more death and pain and more revenge to be over, or at the very least paused for a little bit. I don't see anything this sweet being canon (this is HS after all) but I don't celebrate any of the young people's deaths in HS anymore even if I don't particularly care for them.

Gamzee definitely deserves a few super powered flicks to the head for what he did, but I guess for me personally the desire to celebrate the pain of young people has passed, even the awful ones. It might be foolish, but I can't help but want for something more for the kids / trolls then anger and pain and grudges and to fall victim to this unending destructive cycle that accomplishes nothing at all.

Also I can direct you to plenty of Equius / Meowrails sadstuck you might have missed if you'd like. Their passing definitely wasn't celebrated over all.

If you lump everyone who isn't you into an ambiguous collective known only as "the fandom" then start cherry picking examples of course you're going to find contradictions.

There was plenty of mourning going on during Equius and Nepeta's deaths, and now there's a significant number of Leijon fans giddy over the thought that she can get her revenge in the afterlife.

Even Vriska's death brought out tons of people asking Hussie why Gamzee doesn't have to "PAY FOR HIS CRIIIIIIIMES" and that event had jack shit to do with him.
