Yeah, I wanted to like that movie so badly, but it was just too goofy, and not in an endearing way. at least sinister has a good ulver soundtrack even if everything else lets me down when i watch it.

i can at least say several points in sinster gave me that nice sinking feeling in my core that good ambiance does

but at the same time i want to buy the soundtrack and chill out to it

Sinister really does not deserve to be compared to Insidious. Sinister actually has some competence involved to the point where you can see an actual concept there.

insidious is just something somebody shit out after eating a regurgitated poltergeist and i feel really bad putting those two together in the same sentence
