Ooh er... Jack/Slick is one non-Sburb-playing character I can really see meriting his own pool at some point. In fact, that's almost a guarantee. So I hesitate to relegate him to auxiliary status.

Ya know what I really like about this picture (apart from how it's drawn)? How the image is built up. Jack lunging from above like the way he always does: huge and frightning, his sword crossing Rose's Thorns of Oglogoth but also ready to strike a second time, with his huge wings filling the top right to show he's dominant in the fight. Rose as the defender trying to hold on, falling into an almost endless abyss. You can really see how hard she tries, not a single bit of hesistation in the way she is looking. And of course the only bit of light that is coming from Skaia in the below left and the center of the fight, illuminating the image. It has everything that a good strife picture needs to have.
