Wait, is this how Japanese readers are reading HS? o.o

Looks like it. I know there's some google thing that translates pages into ghetto speak, I'm guessing this might be a similar thing?

If you use google chrome it usually offers to translate pages if they're not in the same language as chrome is set to. Granted, it's just running it through Google Translate, so you get some pretty incomprehensible stuff sometimes (I remember I was searching for vacation apartments this very day and ran into a Japanese site that seemed to talk about shit and cellulite, no joke) but it works.

...come to think of it, I have to wonder if reading MSPA through a translator might not enhance the experience...

I don't know, it looks like the Chinese version.

Well, Salihomobox is from Taiwan, so of course she'd be reading it in Chinese and not Japanese. But it's possible that the Japanese and Korean readers are also reading homestuck through automated translations like this.

What, can't the Japanese/Chinese/Taiwanese just read English?

Well, Mr. Ruse, I imagine some of them /are/ just reading it in english. But not everyone retains the information they learn in foreign language class all that well. I mean, shit, I barely remember a single thing from my Spanish studies.

And you forgot the Korean fans. I've seen way more korean fans on tumbr than chinese and taiwanese ones, actually.
