This is why i absolutely hate the black banners people put at the top and bottom of pictures.

It's supposed to be like the bars that come from fitting a video with a different aspect ratio to the television screen, to give the impression that this image is from such a video. I'm not a fan of it either, but for a different reason it seems: some people try to do it on images that absolutely do not look like part of an anime and then it gets labeled "animestuck" because hey it has the black bars.

Animestuck was part of a fandom phenomenon though, during an extended waiting period where everyone went stircrazy. Therefore if it was made during that time, and attempted to follow the trend, then yeah. It's animestuck.

(though I do wish the tag was better named since it leads to a shit ton of confusion. )

Back on skaianet I remember suggesting that the tag be named fake_anime_screenshot instead, but it got shot down for being too long. :(
