Allow me to re-do our old fantroll drinking rules:
FASHION: Trolls don't do fashion, kiddies. They wear very basic clothes, with very few colors. If a fantroll is exhibiting a really overkill design in terms of clothing (that may or may not impede their fighting)... Take a shot!
HORNS: If the horns are ridiculous; AKA- could never work, what is anatomy, shaped like objects... Take a shot!
EYES: If the eyes are two different colors with no explanation... Take a shot!
BLOOD COLOR: If it's a bright neon color, or higher than Feferi's, or is black/white/rainbow... Take a shot!
NAME: If first and last name are over/under six letters... Take a shot!
TYPING QUIRK: If the fantroll's quirk is ungodly annoying or illegible... Take a shot!
SYMBOL: If the fantroll's symbol is too simple or too complex, a Chinese/Japanese symbol, or a regular image... Take a shot!
QUADRANTS/FRIENDSHIP: If they are paired with or interact with a canon character, or if everyone in their group loves/likes them... Take a shot!
PROSTHETICS: If a fantroll has really high-tech prosthetics that arebetter than Vriska or Tavros', like a gun can pop out of it... Take a shot!
OTHER APPENDAGES: If they have wings/tails/animal ears without a good explanation as to why... Take a shot!
POWERS: If they have god-mode tier powers and aren't godtier... Take a shot!
GODTIER: If the godtier title has non-monosyllabic words... take a shot!
ORIGINALITY: If they're obvious trollifications of existing characters from Homestuck or other sources... Take a shot!

Hmmm...these rules were pretty good back in act 5, but are possibly a little out of date.
The Blood Color rule probably needs to be updated to just "If it's not one of the 12 canon colors of the hemospectrum," since when the rule was originally written our knowledge of what was or wasn't on the hemospectrum was a lot more vague.
And the Fashion rule doesn't really apply if a fantroll lives on Beforus, since the Beforans are at LEAST as fashionable as the human kids.
Perhaps also fantrolls made by Asian fanartists (as opposed to western weaboos) should be judged less harshly if they have chinese or japanese characters for signs?

The funny thing about the "12 canon bloods" rule is that both of the canonized fantrolls, Nektan and Mierfa, have broken it.

^Yeah, that may have been how it was originally conceived of, but it's clear that AH doesn't really consider it that important or he would have done something to make it apply to the kickstarter fantrolls. It's basically not a rule anymore.
@Anon1: You do have a point about Beforan ones. They just need to be labeled as such.
As for the asian symbols, no I don't think it matters what nationality the creator is. Think of it this way: would you consider taking a shot if the troll's "symbol" were the word "badass" or even just the letter B? I know I would, although I don't think anybody would do something that blatant for a symbol.
